Where are classes held?
We're at The
Dance Family Studio~ 25 N. Allen (at Colorado), Pasadena, CA
91106
Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena – just 3 blocks south of the 210 Freeway
on Colorado and Allen. Parking is off of Allen, just north of
Colorado.
When does Level 1 start?
TIMES:
The
first week of every month we have new beginner classes starting on each
day of the week. Below is an idea of the options (please confirm these times on the schedule).
Monday: Salsa @ 7:30pm
Tuesday: Salsa @ 6:30pm
Wednesday: East Coast Swing at 6:30pm;
Lindy Hop @ 7:30pm;
Balboa 8:30pm
Thursday: Ballroom @ 6:30, 7:30 & 8:30 (see schedule)
Friday: Salsa Dance Party starts with a Beginner Lesson @ 8:30pm
Saturday: Ballroom @ 10:30am, 11:30 or 12:30pm;
Saturday Dance starts with a Beginner Lesson @ 8pm
Sunday: Salsa @ 1:30, Argentine Tango @ 5pm
We suggest you come about 10-15 minutes early for your first class
to give yourself time to register.

We start the first week of every month. For the start date of our next series, you'll want to
see the schedule on our CLASSES
page. You are welcome to join week one or two of the series.
How much are your classes?
As
for pricing, the most popular choices for
first time students:
Beginner
Pass for $109 - includes all beginner classes for an entire
month
(best deal!) REGISTER NOW!
or
$69
for a 6-punchcard which should pay for the first month and a half of
classes if you come once a week. And it doesn't expire for 60 days, so
you can use the punchcard for one class a week, or multiple classes a
week!

I need a partner?
We
provide the partners, and we rotate often.
What
credit cards do you take?

Can I take a class to just try
it?
You're welcome to join either the first or second week of class. A
single class is $15. If you like it and want to join the series,
before you leave, ask if you can apply your payment to a punchcard (you'll save yourself $$$).
Do you have a place to
practice?
Yes, on Friday
nights we have a practice Salsa Dance at 8:30
PM when we open the studio for practice and a FREE beginner lesson.
Every Saturday is a different or mix of the other partner dances, tango,
swing, etc. We order snacks and refreshments for everyone to enjoy. Please join us - and bring
your friends. We have wonderful students which create a very
welcoming atmosphere.
How can I get comfortable with
dancing before class?
We've had many
students buy the video series of our Entry Level Classes, learn the
lessons at home, practice a little before class, and start classes with
confidence that they know what to expect. Our video
series,
"The 2-Left-Footer's Guide to Dancing Salsa" is great for those
really hesitant to take their first steps. The 10 set for salsa covers
everything from basics through intermediate moves including ladies styling
and warm-up exercise DVDs which compliment our in-studio salsa classes.
This has been an
ideal option for first time students who feel they have "2
left-feet" or have never danced before to comfortably fold into our
classes.
There are a couple
of ways to get the DVDs:
(1) Friday nights at the 8:30 PM we open the studio for practice and
we have the DVDs available for you to pre-view and purchase. Just
let them know at the front desk if you're not there to participate, you're
just interested in the DVDs, and you won't have to pay to enter.

Just come to class at the Dance Family Studio 15 minutes
before class to purchase your 6-punch card.
The popular Beginner
Pass is our best deal. For $109
students receive unlimited entrance to all beginner classes for the
month. This is great for someone wanting to really give dancing
a try. Beginners get the benefit of coming to unlimited classes
for more practice and exercise.

instructors were beyond excellent, the atmosphere so warm and inviting,
and I just love the happy smiles on the faces of my fellow students--even
