√ State
of the art dance 'floating' floor. This floor is not wood on
concrete. Instead this is 9 layer birch laid atop almost 2 inches of
air, supported by blocks of forgiving foam. What does this
mean? The difference between walking on hard pavement
for hours, or moving across a floor that absorbs the impact. This is the ultimate dance floor for those with challenges
with their knees, lower backs and necks.
|
|
√ Mirrors.
Mirrors
allow students to see an instructor and provides them the ability to
measure their movement accordingly. Mirrors are essential in any
serious dance instruction experience.
|
|
√ Pre-Registration available for FAST PASS check-in for
those who pre-register for passes. In addition, walk-in registration is
available for last minute students.
|
|
√ Easy payment options. Credit cards accepted both in
the studio and over the phone for convenient pre-registration.
|
|
√ Staff Members available for private lessons, with
complete access to studio space to schedule time for private lesson
students.
|
|
√ Personal experience focused on each student from the
moment they walk in the door. Every student wears a name tag, they are not
just 'one in a crowd'. The Dance Family Studio strives to be the
"Cheers" of dance studios, where everyone knows your name.
|
|
√ Practice events happening each week in the encouraging
atmosphere of the studio.
|
|
√ Ongoing field trip opportunities throughout the year
which students and their friends are welcomed to join.
|
|
√ Consistency in instruction.
The curriculum was developed by our directors and the same steps, methods,
timing and philosophy can be expected in each class. Although we ask every
instructor to add their own flair and personality, the students can expect the
curriculum to stay the same.
|
|
√ Mature atmosphere where working adults
can expect to relax and unwind after a long day at work. All students are
required to be over 18 to attend.
|
|
√ Etiquette
stressed in the classes. What should new dancers expect when walking
into a dance setting for the first time? How should a gentleman act, and
what is expected of ladies? These elements are essential and should be
taught in any Social Dance class.
|
|
√ Classes
offered in a variety of time slots to fit individual schedules.
|
|
√ Variety
of dances offered in the most popular partner dances: Swing, Salsa,
Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing, Nightclub 2-Step,
Rumba, Cha-Cha, etc.
|
|
√ Trained instructors (with a minimum of 3 years
experience in The Dance Family Studio in addition to any training prior to
The Dance Family Studio). Most every staff member has been a student at
one time, and has developed and studied the philosophies and methods of
The Dance Family Studio. In addition, each staff member has gone through
The Dance Family Teacher Training Program. They are excellent teachers -
each and every one of them.
|
|
√ Microphones are used for every class. The students can
expect to hear and understand the instructor whether or not they are close
to the instructor.
|
|
√ Smaller classes. Although some classes get to 50
students, that is our cue to begin another class for that level. Our goal
is to average 30 students per class, with a 15-to-1 student to instructor
ratio.
|
|
√ Plenty of parking. Both in front and behind the studio
there is plenty of parking for the convenience of our students.
|
|
√ Freeway close. We are dedicated to the working adult,
and we recognize freeway accessibility as being essential to our students
busy schedules. Our students make efforts to leave work to get to class on
time. The Dance Family Studio is located freeway close to make the drive after work as
convenient as possible.
|
|
√ Opportunity to advance and perform. There are multiple
levels of all of our classes. In addition, there are performance
opportunities in our ballroom program, our salsa program in addition to
our advanced level programs. Many of our students and staff hold
championship titles in the dances they teach.
|
|
√ Student focused instruction. Our instructors are not
there to perform and have students see them look great, they are there for
our students, and are trained to take the 'temperature' and ability level
of each class in order to adapt each class to the students' specific needs
and ability levels.
|
|
√ No contracts. Students have the flexibility to
purchase a monthly pass, non-expiring punch cards or one single series at
a time. Yet there is the convenience of pre-registration to avoid
waiting lines.

| THE
BIGGEST DIFFERENCE
What sets The Dance Family Studio
apart? The students. Somehow the Dance Family studio has attracted a group of the most
amazing individuals. Not only are many students well recognized
professionals in their fields, most importantly they are the most
personable, ethical and generous group of people we could ever ask to have
in our midst. We have always said and continue to be amazed that the
greatest asset in our business is our students. We have an
incredible group of people who walk through our front door. Those who don't
fit, leave. And those who stay, quickly call themselves the Dance Family.
We couldn't be more proud to be associated with the individuals who call
the Dance Family Studio their home.
We hope you will too. Join us.
