A day in the life of a first time cruiser...

We've had a number of people tell us they've never been on a cruise, and they don't know what to expect.  Maybe this will help! 

Dancing in the nightclubs the night before we depart...

After flying in a day early for the cruise, we look out our hotel window...

to the view of Venice, Italy below to the east...

The next day we board the ship...

look up at the beautiful lobby...

Seeing your room for the first time...

Saying goodbye to land...

Saying hello to your balcony...

Trying to smile once the alarms for the drill go off...run to your duty station!

Go relax on the top deck...

Dance and impress the crowds in the disco...

Then we set sail...

When it gets dark, we start our own dance out on the pool deck, under the stars...

Arrive the next morning in a new port...

Take time to have breakfast in your room...

Take in the sights from the deck before going ashore...

Spend time with your dance family in exotic new lands (this is in Croatia)

...and the Acropolis in Athens, Greece...

and Belize...

and Venice, Italy

Come back on the ship and watch your dance instructor have one too many glasses of water...

Then he's up on the tables dancing for the crowds...

Then lets others dance with his daughter on tables!

We head back to the disco after dinner...

Give an example of how to get to know others on the dance floor...

...and dance the night away in the formal room

The next day we're out at sea, 

so we're in dance workshops...

and more workshops...

Enjoy lunch out by the jacuzzi...

Enjoy a dance after lunch...

Then we convince someone to dress up for a Carmen Miranda costume contest...

Convince our dance teacher to carry her in on his shoulders...

Then cheer loudly for the good sports from our Dance Family...

and dance on the deck until the wee hours...

When we arrive in our next port...

we hop on one of the shuttle boats to get to shore...

Enjoy the next port (this is Santorini, Greece)...

Enjoy the people we meet at every port...

Dance with the locals...

Impromptu performances by instructors (Francisco flipping Stacey in Puerto Vallarta)...

And an impromptu West Coast Swing on the ship heading back from Ensenada...

We come back on the ship and wear a little of the local fare to the dances...

While we're still having fun back in the disco...

Francisco teaches another class on board

We have another 'get to know you' mixer...

Take a group picture with everyone we spent time with on this great journey! 

At some point we have to come back home...

Jump on the bus to our next excursion...

And arrive at LAX to wait for luggage...
